Add a Written Summary to Your LivePlan Dashboard Reports
We developed the LivePlan Dashboard to provide you with an easy-to-digest visual representation of your business’s financial performance, so everyone on your team can understand the story behind the numbers.
Now, when you go to download and print a report from the LivePlan Dashboard, you have the option to add a written report summary to your PDF file.
While we think that the LivePlan metrics often speak for themselves, we recognize that there are times when a custom-written report summary can help your team narrow in on the topics you want to prioritize for strategic planning and decision making.
The LivePlan Dashboard is a great tool to quickly review and analyze your most important metrics all in one place. And, the Dashboard report downloads are an easy way to send those metrics to your management team, board of directors, investors, or anyone else you need to share your company’s performance with. Here’s what it looks like:
Directly following the report cover page, the Dashboard Report Summary page allows you to set the stage for discussion at your board meeting or monthly financial check-in with your management team. You can also print copies of these reports and bring packets to share with meeting participants.
This new report summary feature also makes it simple to provide context for the financial metrics that follow in the report, especially if you’re emailing it out and won’t have the opportunity to meet with the stakeholders who will receive it. You don’t have to worry about any separate messaging being lost (from the body of an email, for example) because now it’s all part of the same PDF file.
Your custom report summary is saved in LivePlan until you make updates or changes, so you know exactly where you left off and you don’t have to worry about losing your work. This also allows you to set a standard format for your report summary and update details each month based on what’s changed or new areas of your business you want to focus on.
