What are the benefits of the Strategic Advisor program with LivePlan?

Our program for Strategic Advisors offers bundled LivePlan software licenses, co-branding, unlimited users on your account, and access to exclusive quarterly webinars with CPE designed to help you implement and grow your advising practice.

The program is tailored around the LivePlan software and the LivePlan Method business process for client advisory services. We offer a wide range of training, from an online learning system, to live webinars. Visit the training page of our website for detailed information and access to this training.

What is the difference between the Strategic Advisor program and the Expert Advisor program?

The Strategic Advisor program (described above) provides the LivePlan software, specialized training and customer support to anyone working with small business clients in an advisory capacity. It provides the basics for using LivePlan as a small business advisor.

The Expert Advisor program is a process of certification and enhanced marketing and business development support by way of our Expert Advisor Directory. Certification is available after passing an exam and meeting usage requirements. After that, the advisor has the ability to be listed in our online Expert Advisor Directory, which we promote to small business clients.

How does the 90-day LivePlan software trial work?

The 90-day LivePlan software trial allows Strategic Advisors a chance to learn how to use LivePlan as their platform for offering client advisory services.

We offer four licenses during the trial so advisors can create companies to try out with clients, or simply to develop sample clients to see how the software works. Use our webinar and online video training on-demand to get all the help and support you need.

At the end of 90 days, the trial account switches to a paid account, with access to 4 licenses. Additional licenses can be added by the account owner through their LivePlan account as needed.

Can I white label LivePlan for my practice or display my logo in-app?

Our strategic advisor program includes in app co-branding as a standard feature. This feature allows for your logo on screen and on printed reports. The setting can be found in the Manage Account/Account Details section in LivePlan. Here is a LivePlan Help Center article on adding your logo and using co-branding in LivePlan.

Is there a list of work tasks for the LivePlan Method business process?

Yes! The LivePlan Method business process for client advisory services is a detailed task list, covering about six hours of work. Tasks range from 1 hour to 5 minutes. The task list can be downloaded here. For best results, we recommend that you take our online training series, which covers how to implement the method and use it with the LivePlan software.

What is the structure of LivePlan's account setup for advisors?

Strategic Advisors have one account, registered to a single email address. Licenses are added to the account as needed. Each license holds one client plan, called a Company. The account may have unlimited users. Clients can be added as users to the account, and assigned read/write access to a specific Company. Company plans can be archived at any time, and new company data may be written into the same license instance. All Companies can be accessed by the master account dashboard.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit cards as well as PayPal.

What happens to my clients' plans if I cancel my account?

Your company plans are 100 percent yours at any time. You can take your plan(s) with you when you go. If you decide to end your LivePlan subscription, just export your plan(s) to Word or PDF before you sign out for the last time.

Can I change or cancel my account after signing up?

Yes, you are welcome to cancel your account at any time. Your cancellation will go into effect at the end of your current billing period.

Will my data be safe and private?

All data living within your LivePlan license, both your plan data as well as the financial actuals imported from your accounting solution, will remain secure and completely confidential. Our products run on a dedicated network with bank-level security that is locked down with firewalls and carefully monitored 24/7. Will LivePlan work for any industry?

LivePlan works for every industry: retail, restaurants, services, healthcare, and all other sectors. It also comes with over 500 sample plans you can use as a guide while writing with your client. Plus, LivePlan has industry benchmarks for over 1,000 industries included. Knowing industry standards helps ensure that you advise your clients using a forecast that is both challenging and achievable.

What industry benchmarks are available?

LivePlan offers North American industry data for over 1,000 different industries, broken down by region and company size. Our Benchmark data is licensed from Abrigo's ProfitCents, and includes a variety of different metrics: Gross Margin, Profit Margin, Operating Margin, Revenue per employee, Quick Ratio, Current Ratio, and more. LivePlan allows you to compare both your actual and forecast metrics to these benchmark industry standards.

What reports are available in LivePlan's Dashboard?

LivePlan's Dashboard gives you a comparison between your actuals and your forecast values, across a variety of different trends and metrics. The trends and metrics are broken down into 7 different categories, including: Spending Metrics, Money In/Out, Key Margins, Productivity Metrics, as well as revenue and cost breakdowns. Within the Dashboard you can print off a customized report, complete with the metrics most pertinent to your client, providing you a deliverable for your client.

Does LivePlan do cash flow forecasting?

Yes! LivePlan's Forecast tool builds a full profit and loss, cash flow and balance sheet forecast for a period of 3 or 5 years. The forecasts can be viewed by month or year. In addition to the forecast statements, our LiveForecast™ feature utilizes your client’s Quickbooks or Xero accounting balances to true up the running balances, and allow a forecast versus actual view right in the forecast experience. The Dashboard gives you comparative cash flow views allowing you to compare your client's projected cash flow to their actuals.

Can I build forecast scenarios in LivePlan?

Yes! All strategic advisor accounts allow for up to 10 forecast scenarios in each Company. Each forecast scenario is a full function profit and loss, cash flow and balance sheet forecast. Strategic advisors can model best case, worst case, lending versions, working versions, and everything in between.
