Palo Alto Software Names Caroline Cummings VP of Marketing

Palo Alto Software, developer of the number one selling business planning and management tools, LivePlan, Business Plan Pro, and Sales and Marketing Plan Pro, is proud to announce the appointment of Caroline Cummings as Vice President of Marketing.
“As our VP of Marketing, Caroline brings an excellent perspective to our entrepreneurial customers. As the former co-founder and CEO of two technology companies, she’s experienced both start-up failures and successes, and has raised close to $1 million in investment capital,” stated Palo Alto Software CEO, Sabrina Parsons. “We are thrilled to bring her on board to lead our marketing efforts.”
Cummings was hired by Parsons to increase brand awareness and engagement of Palo Alto Software’s business planning and management tools, including their newest cloud-based business planning tool, LivePlan. LivePlan is the most complete online business planning and small business management tool on the market, and has experienced 20% growth month-over-month since its launch in April 2011.

Cummings’ most recent venture, RealLead (mobile marketing for the real estate market) sold in early 2012. Before RealLead, her company, CC Consulting, Inc. helped build several successful entrepreneurship programs throughout Oregon by partnering with the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce and the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network. She’s also coached several first-time CEO’s on how to pitch their start-up to investors.
Cummings is regularly invited to participate as a judge for university business plan competitions, as well as speak on topics including, entrepreneurship, angel investing, social media and authentic self promotion for women. She is a graduate of Drexel University’s LeBow School of Business.
Cummings is also passionate about mentoring. She mentors several young women and is the immediate past president of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lane County’s board of directors.
